Everyone dreams of quitting their job, getting rid of their stuff and hopping on the first plane to the south of France right?
Well I did just that.
After nearly eight years as a broadcast news producer for The BBC in Washington, DC I decided it was now or never.
I rented my condo, sold all of my belongings and boarded a flight to the rest of my life.
This is the story, with some travel tips I’ve picked up along the way.

From one dream chaser to another – you go girl!
Thanks! Dream chasing, now that is something I can get behind.
Luckily you, I,m trying to retire a profession of over 42 years – still working some 12 hour days!
Look forward to your thoughts and dreams…

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and for the like. Talk about someone filled with hope – to leave all you know to pursue the unknown; now that is hope in action. Here’s to dreams filled with hope and following them!
Hey there,
In your entry about sama sama tailors in ubud, I saw youjr photos of the amazing fabrics that you posted.
Where are these photos taken, so that I can have a look at them?
Thank you
Hi Jane,
Thanks so much. The photos of the fabric were taken in Ubud, Bali. I bought fabric at different shops in Ubud, many from a shop called Bom Bom wholesale, which I also wrote about in the Bali section (https://stumblingintoparadise.com/2012/08/04/top-travel-tip-bom-bom-wholesale-ubud-bali/). I hope this helps!

Any thoughts on South America?
hm. Lots too see! I haven’t spent too much time there (yet) but have visited Brazil a good amount and I absolutely adore it. Rio, Bahia, Salvador, its all wonderful and I would highly recommend a trip.
I love your stories and photos, so I nominated you for a Liebster. Enjoy!
