Top Travel Tip: Yalta Restaurant – Jaffa

Today’s Tip: Yalta restaurant – Jaffa, Israel

Jaffa in Southern Tel Aviv is the city’s hip, bohemian center, with a huge sprawling flea market, and cool restaurants, bars, and shops down every street.

The flea market (open every day except Saturday) extends through the the bustling little area with old timers hawking all manner of dishes, clothes and random tchotchkes and cute shop fronts full of mid century furniture and locally designed fashion.

You can’t really go wrong here in terms of dining, but Yalta is a cute new cafe at #6 Rabbi Nachman street.  they serve yummy fresh breakfasts, great coffee and have surprisingly friendly and attentive service – a rare commodity in Israel.

Yalta is very relaxed, with mismatched vintage tables and chairs scattered under a bright canopy of umbresllas outside the small restaurant.

They also serve cava, delightful on a warm afternoon.

  1. I remember the place – they get all their interior from the flea market and you can buy anything inside – chairs, tables, lamp shades, even the cup you’re drinking from! A great concept 😉
