What to Read: The Secret History

The Secret History by Donna Tartt is one of my all time favorite books.

The epic is over 500 pages, but once I turned the first one i couldn’t stop until I got to the last.

The tale begins with a California teenager who is drawn to the glamour of an exclusive, private boarding school and an unsolved murder.   You are instantly transported to the shadowy, romantic world that our protagonist joins behind the ivy and bricks on the east coast.

The story is so rich and detailed, you can’t help but be consumed by the lives of the characters and the drama that they get swept into.

This is the perfect thing to bring along for a lengthy plane ride, or those leisurely days lounging by the pool.
