Today’s Tip: Hotel Bambu Indah – Ubud, Bali
This place is by far one of the most beautiful and unusual hotels I’ve ever seen. Located about 15 minutes south east of central Ubud, it is set above the Ayung River over looking sprawling green rice fields.
The main building, which houses the massage rooms and organic restaurant is made entirely of bamboo and the 11 separate bungalows are repurposed antique Javanese bridal homes. The little structures are simply beautiful made of painted teak and decorated with distinct, colorful armoires, benches and spacious beds adorned with high quality bedding.
The hotel is eco friendly, with a chemical free pool and an organic garden, used to stock the restaurants’s kitchen.
Rates depend on the size of the bungalow and the season, but rooms start at around $200 / night.
