Today’s Tip: Merci, Paris
This shop / cafe/ restaurant in Paris’ 3rd Arrondissement is the pinnacle of Parisian chic. There are three floors, with the bulk of the clothing, smaller items, and adorable cafe on the main floor, larger furniture up top, and the restaurant is downstairs.
Merci stocks a wide variety of things, from delicate Repetto heels to rustic modern furniture, industrial lighting fixtures, and tons of other cool stuff. I like perusing the selection for christmas gifts and unusual stocking stuffers
But beyond cutting edge design and fashion, the store gives 100% of it’s profits to a charity supporting women and children in Madagascar – the first place like it in Paris.
The restaurant seves lunch daily from noon – 3 pm and the cafe serves pastries and drinks throughout the day (no reservation needed)
Merci is open 6 days a week from 10 am – 7 pm and closed sundays. The closest Métro is Saint Sébastien Froissart Line n°8 (between Bastille and République) and you can call them on + 33 (0)1 42 77 00 33
