Today’s Travel Tip: 26 Gadera, Tel Aviv
I love this little restaurant in Tel Aviv’s Yemeni quarter. It’s a small, atmospheric place with a few tables and a bar inside and a few more tables outside on the patio.
The menu is fantastic with fresh ingredients, a fusion of Middle Eastern and other cuisines and a good beer and wine list specializing in Israeli and boutique labels.
The menu is written in Hebrew and English, and your server will tell you about the daily specials.
I love the roasted cauliflower and house-made bread drizzled with olive oil. They also have interesting salads, meat and fish dishes and they make their own desserts.
The place is hip and casual and the service is fast and friendly. Everything here is good and they have lunch and happy hour specials too, which are great value.
The restaurant is right next to Tel Aviv’s giant Ha Carmel Market, so after shopping until you drop, relax with a nice glass of wine and something delightful to eat.
